An owner who listed his vacancy on wi-rentals.com  (Now s AmericanApartmentsOnline.com ) called me. He was receiving 2-3 calls per day from our free rental listings web site. His purpose in calling was he forgot his password and therefore couldn't remove the listing to make the calls stop ; ) In a weak rental market too many calls is an overwhelming success to me. The listings pages have about a thousand unique visitors per month.

All members are welcome to list their vacancies. Prospective tenants can search by price, location and/or number of bedrooms. This is not a Milwaukee area exclusive site. We have done search engine promotion for both vacancies in the MIlwaukee area and the entire state. To use it simply set up a free account at: www.wi-rentals.com

When you set up the account you may wish to write down your password and user name so that you can remove your listings after they rent. If you lost your password e-mail me and I will send it to you.

The TenantManagerOnline.com site also provides free on line forms such as 5-day, 24-day and 28-day notices.

A question I am often asked is why do we provide the service for free, what is the catch?

The answer is that a vacancy listing only becomes valuable to prospective tenants when there is a wide selection of units available all the time. For example more prospective tenants read the Sunday Journal classifieds than any other day because the Sunday Journal has more ads. We also provide links to information on our company, Affordable Rentals, and the Apartment Association of Southeastern WI on the web pages. The free forms section is just our way of giving something back to our industry.

If you sign up and provide a valid e-mail address, that address will be used to notify you of important system changes. (There have been no mailings so far.) E-mail addresses provided by users are never sold or used for commercial advertising, i.e. spam.
